Young the Giant, or, a lesson in RAW files
I covered Young The Giant on their second of three nights at the 9:30 Club in D.C. It was quite the experience, as the band played through their new album "Home of the Strange" in its entirety for the first time ever! My full review can be found at The Diamondback, but for now here is a preview of the images.
If you drag the slider, it allows you to see what the files look like right out of my camera and then after processing. These photos (the wide shot of the stage especially) really demonstrate the power of the RAW file and its ability to maintain details in some nearly blown-out highlights.
If you ever get the chance to, I highly reccommend seeing the band live! It's amazing!
